2 years of LDF Ministry!

I am not writing this post because I feel it is reason to celebrate and congratulate the team of ministers lead by V S Achuthanandan, instead it is out of the irritation that arises out of the fact that keralites will have to suffer this ministry for at least 3 more years and considering the hot and happening 2 year rule of the ministry, I am wondering what would be left of this state by the time the next round of legislative assembly elections are announced!
The New Indian Express rose to the occassion and conducted a poll on who is the worst minister in the LDF government? I too wanted to cast a vote but I felt it was not right on my part to single out any one minister as the worst. However, the readers thought otherwise and consequent to the fabulous response to the poll, the results were out!
M A Baby was crowned the worst minister for having brought about the sorry state of affairs in the education sector- there is not even a single thing that can be pointed out as a positive step taken by Mr. Baby. The less said about the cultural ministry, the better.
P K Sreemathy teacher was a close second. Ill health has been plaguing the health sector ever since Ms. Sreemathy assumed charge. The government's lack lustre efforts in dealing with the chikungunya epidemic, the microbial infection in the gynaecology department of SUT Hospital and the ongoing medico strike in the state are the major achievements of Ms. Sreemathy. Apparently, her daughter in law is her personal assistant which is making things worse!
The coveted third prize goes to the foul mouthed G Sudhakaran who demonstrated very clearly how a statesman should not be behaving! A totally uncouth man, he is culturally much below the head load workers you find in the Ernakulam market. If he had channeled all the energy that he wastes in talking, in tackling the problems plaguing Sabarimala, things would have been much better all around!
Now this does not mean that the others can be left scot free and here is why:
Kodiyeri Balakrishnan- the home minister houses the most notorious goonda in the state now- his own son Bineesh Kodiyeri. Add to that his alleged unholy partnerships with the fake swamis- Santhosh Madhavan and Swami Bhadranandaji, one feels sorry for the law and order situation in the state!
C Divakaran- the celebrated food minister who is all set to change the food habits of the people in Kerala on account of the rice scarcity and soaring food grain prices prevalent in the state
Thomas Isaac- who follows the book but has failed to apply his theories into practice in controlling the financial sector in the state
Mullakkara Rathnakaran living in fool's heaven and not even taking a single step in putting things in order as far as the agriculture sector is concerned
Paloly Mohammedkutty- no one knows what the Local Self Administration Minister is into these days
and finally V S Achuthanandan- the celebrated Chief Minister who is riding a rudder less boat! No one knows where this rule is heading to!
I have lost hope but do we have a choice but to wait till the next elections are announced? I am looking forward to that day because I am all set to write the obituary of LDF rule in Kerala!

  1. Power corrupts and absolute power corrupts absolutely!!! Here communist and congress are rotational, and in the centere together, if not they we have Pseudosecularism!! Guess its difficult to find a better alternative in the near future...May be we cannot start a political party like Rang De Basanthi or Yuva, but we can always do our bit.
49’O “In a particular constituency, if a voter has dislike to all of the candidates competing there, then he can show his dislike to all of them by registering for 49’O. There could be a provision in the ballot paper itself…or Steps for doing this . while registering the name by the time of voting, convey the booth officials that “I want to go for 49’O”.
